The Great American Solar Eclipse.
A “Great American Solar Eclipse” occurs when the line-of-totality for an eclipse extends from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. This image comes from the 2024 Eclipse and was taken from Providence, RI, where a partial eclipse with >90% coverage. Foolishly, I decided to stay on campus with a group of Astronomy students to help them photograph the even using an H\(\alpha\) solar telescope.
