Out of several hundred entrants, I was selected to give a short (\(\sim 5\)min), accessible talk showcasing my research. I chose to discuss how astronomers use weak gravitational lensing to reconstruct the distribution of dark matter in galaxy clusters. The full talk has been uploaded to YouTube and distributed across several media outlets.
Upon discovering a new low surface-brightness feature in Abell 3667, I led a coordinated press-release showcasing the discovery. This included internal coverage by Brown University along with external coverage by several notable websites including Space.com, Phys.org, and sci.news. The release also remainder on the front page of NOIRLab’s website for several months.
I organized a team of undergraduates and graduate students who helped operate a series of solar telescopes on Brown University’s Campus Green. This included capturing a timelapse of the entire eclipse and an associated press-release.
I’ve been a regular contributor to Clear Skies, Ladd Observatory’s quarterly publication, since 2023. This includes a series of articles highlighting different observatories I have travelled to (including Mt. Wilson and Cerro Tololo) along with articles describing multiple astrophotography projects.
For four years, I volunteered to support Astronomy Day at the Roger Williams Museum of Natural History and Planetarium. I also helped them develop their new exhibit on the James Webb Space Telescope.
